Proseguiamo il nostro racconto offrendo le motivazioni che ci hanno spinto a realizzare questa nuova carrellata di immagini legate ai Riti della Settimana Santa di Conversano, dando un nuovo titolo al docufilm. Con rinnovata emozione e rispetto, ripubblichiamo oggi il filmato che raccoglie le fasi salienti riprese nel corso degli anni: un viaggio che attraversa il tempo, i volti, le preghiere, le processioni e i silenzi di una comunità che ogni anno si ritrova unita nella pietà popolare.
Il nuovo titolo scelto, “Il Tempo raccolto”, custodisce il senso profondo di questo lungo cammino: un atto devozionale che si rinnova ogni anno, uguale eppure diverso, forte della tradizione e della memoria, ma sempre nuovo nello sguardo e nel coinvolgimento di chi partecipa. In questo titolo convivono due dimensioni fondamentali: la Croce, simbolo di dolore, fede e redenzione, e il Tempo, che scorre ma non cancella, anzi conserva e tramanda.
Nel nuovo montaggio, accanto alle immagini raccolte nei primi anni di documentazione, si aggiungono ulteriori testimonianze video che arricchiscono e completano il nostro archivio visivo. Rimane inalterata la prefazione di S.E. Mons. Giuseppe Favale, Vescovo della Diocesi di Conversano-Monopoli, guida spirituale che con le sue parole ha accompagnato e illuminato il senso profondo di questo cammino. Il filmato è un gesto d’amore, nato anche in risposta alle numerose richieste giunte in redazione dai conversanesi residenti all’estero, desiderosi di restare in contatto con la loro terra, le sue radici e la sua spiritualità.
Rimangono inalterate anche le voci e le guide che danno forma e anima al racconto. “Il Tempo raccolto” non è solo un documento video, ma un archivio di emozioni, sacrifici, volti e memoria collettiva. Una testimonianza che attraversa le generazioni e racconta la storia viva di una comunità che ogni anno si raccoglie attorno alla Passione di Cristo.
Questo progetto è anche una promessa: continuare a documentare, raccontare e condividere, per non dimenticare e per far sentire a casa chiunque, anche da lontano, porti nel cuore la fede e le tradizioni della Settimana Santa conversanese.

The Holy Week in Conversano is a story of faith, memory, and community.
We continue our narrative by sharing the reasons that led us to create this new collection of images dedicated to the Rites of Holy Week in Conversano, now presented under a new title. With renewed emotion and reverence, we republish this film, which gathers the key moments captured over the years — a journey through time, faces, prayers, processions, and the silences of a community that comes together each year in popular devotion.
The new title, “The Harvested Time”, holds the deep meaning of this long journey: a devotional act that renews itself each year — always the same, yet ever changing — rooted in tradition and memory, but constantly renewed through the gaze and participation of those who take part. The title brings together two essential dimensions: the Cross, a symbol of suffering, faith, and redemption; and Time, which passes but does not erase — instead, it preserves and hands down.
In this new edit, alongside the images collected in the early years of documentation, we add new video testimonies that enrich and complete our visual archive. The foreword by H.E. Monsignor Giuseppe Favale, Bishop of the Diocese of Conversano-Monopoli, remains unchanged — a spiritual guide whose words have accompanied and enlightened the deeper meaning of this journey. This film is an act of love, also created in response to the many requests received from Conversano natives living abroad who wish to stay connected to their homeland, their roots, and its spirituality.
The voices and guides that shape and give soul to the story remain unchanged as well. “The Harvested Time” is not just a video document, but an archive of emotions, sacrifices, faces, and collective memory — a testimony that spans generations and tells the living story of a community that gathers each year around the Passion of Christ.
This project is also a promise: to continue documenting, narrating, and sharing — so that we do not forget, and so that anyone who carries in their heart the faith and traditions of the Holy Week in Conversano may feel at home, even from afar.
